Off-topic but irresistible

It's good to know that leaving Wisconsin for New York will not reduce my opportunities for being cynical about our Fearless Leaders.

Everyone knows who's doing what here. But these darn midwesterners don't blab it to the New York Times. I guess.

Well I for one am happy you are coming to our fair city of Syracuse!

Just don't scrape too deeply into the politics here! You might catch something!

Hi DivaJean,

I'll be looking for friends once I land. Look me up!

Harriet Brown is coming to New York? Hooray!

Syracuse is practically in Canada and from where I live in Westchester County you are pretty far away, but I have been thinking about an upstate road trip...and hey, if you are coming to New York City please send me an e-mail!

Congrats on the new job, Harriet! And welcome (soon) to upstate NY.

Isn't it reassuring, though? That politics and cynicism thereof will be there no matter where you go?

Don't worry- it's not for me, either.

Congrats again on the job.

Corinna, Can't wait to meet up with you! I know Westchester well--my hubby grew up in Ossining.

Sari, where do you live excactly?

Harriet - perhaps we can do a "meet up" someplace central - or I'd be more than happy to come to Syracuse. Twin Trees Pizza, anyone? Or shall we go German?
As for our now former Governor, ahem..the less said, the better, if for no other reason than his wife and his three teenaged daughters.

Sounds like a plan, Toby, once I get settled next fall!
