Thanks to my pal Mary Ketarkus Brown for making the I Love My Body! pledge pretty and portable. Use it as a bookmark, tape it to the inside of your cabinet door or mirror, hand it out on street corners. Say it out loud to yourself once a day. Try to mean it.
Then spread the word.

sigh.
This is great. Thank you.
I don't normally do new year's resolutions, but I might have to do this one. Thanks!
Wow.
Thank you for finding it, and thank you for offering it.
actualy, littlem, i wrote it too. :-)
I think this is fabulous. Anything we can print up and share like this is instant activism.
However, part of my activism is being open and honest about being a fat person and speaking about my fat. So while I may talk about my fat and my fat body parts, I won't do it disparagingly, nor will I obsess over it.
Happy New Year!
I'm with you on that one, withoutscene. More and more I am able to do that too. I think it's vital to normalize the word "fat," and take it back from the realm of the derogatory. Fat is only an insult if we allow it to be. I choose to think of it as descriptive.
I truly believe that self-acceptance starts with accepting your body image thoughtfully. Honestly, I'm one of those girls trying to achieve the statuesque figure. But thanks to your blog post, I'm now lovin' my body figure ^^ *thanks!*
